BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University and the IU Foundation are ranked 12th in the nation among public universities in market value of endowment. IU's endowment of $529.4 million places it among the top institutions of public higher education in the United States.
"We appreciate the support of our generous donors. Their loyalty to Indiana University combined with successful investment strategies consistently puts IU in the top 10 percent," said Curtis R. Simic, president of the IU Foundation.

Among the Big Ten, IU ranks sixth following Northwestern, Michigan, Minnesota, Purdue and Ohio State.
