IU global center taps expertise of several business leaders

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A new board of advisers has been appointed to the Global Business Information Network (GBIN) in Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. This includes the formation of a new executive committee with five members and 14 new members of the advisory board.
GBIN provides export data to the Indiana Department of Commerce that is used by business firms throughout the state and nation. Additionally, GBIN offers consulting services for fees to businesses
seeking global assistance and also sponsors major conferences on international business.
Since 1993, GBIN has done research on globalization and the impact of global trends on business activities in the Midwest. Since 1996, the organization has conducted 18 conferences. It has performed
numerous studies and provided hundreds of international business trend reports to organizations.
GBIN is co-directed by Kelley School faculty Lawrence S. Davidson, professor of business economics and public policy, and Greg Kitzmiller, a lecturer in marketing.
The new GBIN Advisory Board will meet for the first time in September to review current statistics and the organization's progress. Corporate members are:
