Kelley School professor honored with Europe's Golden Page Award
Feb. 14, 2001
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Europe's leading on-line abstract publisher and analyst, Anbar Electronic Intelligence, has honored Thomas P. Hustad, professor of marketing in Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, with the Emerald Golden Page Award.
The award, which will be presented at a ceremony later this spring in England, recognizes the Journal of Product Innovation Management, which Hustad founded more than 15 years ago and edited until January 2000. The journal provides managers and producers of new products with valuable research-based information.
This is the second time that the Kelley School and its faculty have received one of the Golden Page Awards that are presented annually by Anbar Electronic Intelligence. The organization recognizes a small number of outstanding management periodicals that "consistently deliver excellent articles."
Business Horizons, a general business journal published by the Kelley School, received the award in 1999. Hustad's journal was recognized in two categories: Best Practical Implications and Originality.
"To be accepted onto the Emerald Reviews Accredited List is in itself a significant achievement," Hustad said. "To then emerge from rigorous review as best in class is a major accolade."
To be eligible for a Golden Page Award, a title must first be selected by the Accreditation Board to be abstracted by Anbar. Every published article is then reviewed, and the performance of each title within the calendar year is assessed before an award is made.
Anbar said one purpose of the award is to help universities and corporate libraries worldwide determine which publications must be included in serious library collections, given current budgetary constraints.
