Indiana's top high-potential companies awarded IU's Growth 100 designation

INDIANAPOLIS -- For the fifth consecutive year, the Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, part of Indiana University's Kelley School of Business, is recognizing 100 of Indiana's leading high-potential companies with its Growth 100 award.
The Growth 100 award honors Indiana's rapid-growth, high-potential entrepreneurial companies with annual sales of at least $1 million. High-potential companies are identified through proven "contributors" to success. One Growth 100 recipient -- Interactive Intelligence -- has been so successful that it went public in late September.
"This year's Growth 100 companies had average annual sales of $8.1 million, and their growth rate averaged over 150 percent. These 100 companies have a phenomenal economic impact on the state, in terms of both sales and employment," said Elizabeth J. Gatewood, Johnson Center director and Jack M. Gill Chair of Entrepreneurship. "The awardees geographically represent the state. Although 54 are based in the Indianapolis MSA, 20 companies are based in northern Indiana, 12 are in central Indiana and 14 are in southern Indiana."
Companies that receive the Growth 100 award are invited to join the Growth 100 Network, a membership organization offering services such as educational programs and seminars, and networking with peers. The Growth 100 Program is co-sponsored by Cinergy/PSI, Colliers Turley Martin Tucker, Ernst & Young LLP, Ice Miller Donadio & Ryan, the IU Advanced Research and Technology Institute, KeyBank, Leadership Horizons, and Personnel Management Inc.
Recognition from the Kelley School of Business puts Growth 100 awardees in good company. U.S. News & World Report ranks the Kelley School's full-time undergraduate program among the nation's top 10, and Business Week ranks its full-time MBA program among the top 25.
