BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana University Alumni Association has a new organizational structure, according to Richard Searles, chairman of the IUAA board of managers. As of Feb. 1, Jerry F. Tardy is president and chief executive officer of the IUAA, and John Hobson is senior vice president and chief operating officer.
Other senior staff include Peter Yoder, vice president and chief financial officer; Judy Schroeder, vice president and chief communications officer; Stefan Davis, vice president for IUPUI alumni affairs; and John Laskowski, vice president of marketing and membership.
Karl Zacker has been named special assistant to the IUAA president.
"These are exciting times for the Alumni Association," Tardy said, "and I believe strongly that we have the staff to continue our high quality of service."
The IUAA board of managers approved the structure at a Jan. 26 meeting at IU Southeast in New Albany.
Searles, chairman of the board for 1999-2000, is first vice president and senior financial consultant for Merrill Lynch, Indianapolis. Other members of the board are Patrick Shoulders, chairman-elect, an Evansville attorney; Lynn Vaught Lewis, vice chairman, a retired high school teacher from Clarksville; Donna Berry Spears, secretary, a Bloomington health and fitness consultant and dental hygienist; P.T. Moore, treasurer, first vice president of Smith Barney Inc., Indianapolis; and Sandra Jones Obremskey of Lebanon, past president.
