Public invited to provide feedback on new state disability plan

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana Institute on Disability and Community at Indiana University, in conjunction with the Governor's Planning Council for People with Disabilities, invites persons with disabilities, family members, human service providers and other interested persons to provide input at a public hearing June 20 on the goals and objectives of Indiana's 2000-2003 State Disability Plan.
This plan, when complete, will be the blueprint for the priorities of the Indiana Governor's Planning Council and also will guide other state agencies and advocacy organizations on disability issues.
This public hearing is an opportunity for community members to express their opinions on the plan and to communicate with its developers. The public hearing will be June 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Indiana State Teachers Association Building, West Market Conference Center, Conference Rooms C and D, 150 W. Market St., Indianapolis.
