Public safety officials on all eight Indiana University campuses have taken steps to ensure the safety of university students, faculty, and staff, as well as community members. To report an incident or request assistance, contact:

Students who feel threatened or have witnessed a suspicious activity should contact the IU Police Department at (812) 855-4111, or the Bloomington Police Department at (812) 339-4477. Please call 911 in the event of an emergency.

Students who feel threatened or have witnessed a suspicious activity should contact the IUPUI Police Department. In the case of an emergency, call (317) 274-7911 (TTY, (317) 274-1387). Non-emergency calls should be placed to (317) 274-2058. The Indianapolis Police Department can be reached at (317) 327-3811. The Marion County Sheriff’s Department can be reached at (317) 231-8200.

Indiana University East

Students who feel threatened or have witnessed a suspicious activity should contact University Police at (765) 973-8429.

IPFW Fort Wayne

Students who feel threatened or have witnessed a suspicious activity should contact the IPFW Police and Safety Department. In the case of an emergency, call (219) 481-6911. Non-emergency calls should be placed to (219) 481-6827. Students who desire an escort to and from classes should call Police and Safety Escort Service at (219) 481-6900. The Fort Wayne Police Department can be reached at (219) 427-1222. The Allen County Sheriff’s Department can be reached at (219) 449-3000. The New Haven Police Department can be reached at (219) 493-1517.

Indiana University Kokomo

Incidents or concerns should be reported to IUK Security at (765) 455-9363 (ext. 363 from a campus phone). The Kokomo Police Department can be reached at (765) 459-5101.

Incidents or concerns should be reported to the IUN Police Department at (219) 980-6501. Students who desire an escort to and from classes should also call the IUN Police Department at (219) 980-6501. The Gary Police Department can be reached at (219) 881-1260 (non-emergency) or 911 (emergency).

Indiana University South Bend

Incidents or concerns should be reported to campus security at (219) 237-4239.

Students, faculty, and staff who feel threatened or have safety concerns should call IUS University Police at (812) 941-2400, or extension 2400 from a campus phone. The New Albany Police Department can be reached at (812) 944-6411. The Indiana State Police Sellersburg District Headquarters can be reached at (812) 283-6422.
