IU Dance Marathon
More than 2,000 Indiana University Bloomington students came together to raise $1,041,197.20 for the Ryan White Infectious Disease Center at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis during the annual 36-hour IU Dance Marathon, Nov. 9-11, 2007. The event is comprised of dance, socialization and guest speakers, and is held in the IU School of Physical Education and Recreation Building (HPER). The IU Dance Marathon, led by a 20-member council, is the nation's second largest student-run organization. The IU Dance Marathon's slogan, "The Chance of a Lifetime, to Give a Lifetime of Chance," professes the actions and purpose of this event.
