Indiana University Bloomington on Monday, Feb. 6, will kick off its annual Black History Month Celebration, which this year has the theme, "African American Women in U.S. History and Culture." Most events are free and open to the public.

In a flourish of traditional drums, dancing and regalia, Native Americans will gather at IU Bloomington on Nov. 5 to share history, culture and arts at a traditional pow wow. The event will serve as the kick-off event for the campus' observance of National American Indian Heritage Month.
