A 15-year-old piano student in the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music has won the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra's Young Musicians Contest and will be performing with the orchestra July 18 and 19. Jingxuan Zhang, a piano student of IU Professor Arnaldo Cohen, will be performing with the orchestra this month.

Research and scientific discoveries at the Indiana University School of Informatics will continue to flourish thanks to an ongoing program funded by Eli Lilly and Company. The $80,000 gift from the Indianapolis-based company will be used to support a fellowship for a graduate student pursuing a doctoral degree in informatics at the school's Indianapolis campus.
