Creator of 'Entourage' to speak at IU

The series ended in October, but fans have one more chance to quench their Entourage addiction. Doug Ellin, the man behind Entourage, will give students a behind-the-scenes look at the series at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, in Alumni Hall at the Indiana Memorial Union. He will speak and answer questions about the Emmy-nominated HBO series he created, wrote and produced that spanned eight seasons.   Full Story >>

IU Cinema to screen first student-made feature film, 'Nathan and the Luthier'

When Indiana University senior Jacob Sherry graduates in May, the Herman B Wells Scholar will have already completed a goal few people ever achieve: the premiere of his first feature film. Nathan and the Luthier, a 52-minute coming-of-age story about a man making peace with his upbringing in the wake of his father's death, opens April 26 at 7 p.m. at the IU Cinema. IU to host Magic Lantern Society conference May 20-23

America's only "magic lanternist" will be among the performers, scholars, artists and collectors at the 14th-annual convention of the Magic Lantern Society of the USA and Canada. Film scholar David Bordwell to speak at Masters Series

Film scholar David Bordwell will speak on "How Motion Pictures Became the Movies" in this year's lecture of the Provost Professors' Distinguished Masters Invited Lecture Series set for 4 p.m., April 13, in the Moot Court Room at the Maurer School of Law.
