Update on fire at School of HPER

City firefighters responded this morning (July 5) to a fire at the School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation at Indiana University Bloomington. The fire occurred on the roof of the Ora L. Wildermuth Intramural Center, which was closed for the summer for roof replacement. Firefighters arrived promptly, and a small number of people working in the adjacent HPER Building were evacuated as a precaution. No one was reported injured.   Full Story >>

IU Bloomington reports major tree damage

As a result of Wednesday's (May 25) severe weather in Monroe County, Indiana University Bloomington sustained significant tree damage, which the university's veteran landscape crew members are calling the worst tree damage on campus in the last 30 years. Follow up information concerning Bradford Woods pool incident

Officials at Bradford Woods, the outdoor education facility of Indiana University's School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation, have begun installing additional safeguards to prevent the mixing of muriatic acid and chlorine, chemicals commonly used to maintain swimming pools.   Full Story >>

H1N1 vaccinations resume Monday; additional 860 doses reserved for those eligible

Indiana University Bloomington's H1N1 Clinic will be administering vaccines next week, Dec. 7-9, at Assembly Hall. An additional 860 vaccines are available to be administered to eligible recipients who may still make reservations for Dec. 8-9.   Full Story >>

IU student assaulted with sharp-edged weapon

Indiana University Police responded to an incident of an 18-year-old-male student being cut with a sharp edged weapon as he was walking with a group along 17th Street at Woodlawn Avenue in Bloomington at approximately 12:30 a.m., Saturday (Sept. 6).
