High-speed Internet connectivity among 63 Indiana universities and colleges will be celebrated tomorrow (Nov. 3) when officials gather to recognize the approaching completion of a $35.8 million infrastructure project connecting 21 Ivy Tech Community College campuses to Indiana's I-Light network.

Indiana University Research & Technology Corp. (IURTC) and Vai technology Inc. have created Passive Identification Technologies (PIT) LLC, a joint venture formed to commercialize and create a home for a portfolio of iris recognition technologies. The technology will enhance the ease of security systems, allowing iris recognition to be implemented into existing video technology.
