Indiana University alumna Stacey K. Jones is among the 76 college graduates to receive the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Award in 2006. Jones, a 2006 Hutton Honors College graduate of IU Bloomington, received full tuition and a stipend--valued at $39,000--renewable each year she attends graduate school at the University of Chicago. Jones earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and sociology and a certificate in nonprofit management. She is studying now at the University of Chicago where she plans to earn a master's degree in social service administration.

Seventy students at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business are receiving scholarships resulting from an educational scholarship gift of $5.4 million from the Roy F. and Joann Cole Mitte Foundation of Austin, Texas.

Indiana University President Adam W. Herbert today (Aug. 24) announced that 60 high school students from Indiana have accepted offers to attend IU as Hoosier Presidential Scholars. This is the second year of the scholarship program.
