Brazilian filmmaker's visit to IU Bloomington first stop in U.S. tour

Indiana University Cinema will screen six films by Brazilian filmmaker Nelson Pereira dos Santos, who will also give a free lecture while visiting the Bloomington campus this month. The stop is his first on a short U.S. tour arranged by IU, which includes visits to UCLA, the Wexner Center at Ohio State and the City College of New York.   Full Story >>

College of Arts and Sciences moves to Owen Hall, administrative offices open March 19

The Office of the Dean of the Indiana University College of Arts and Sciences is packing and labeling boxes this week, preparing to move to Owen Hall, just steps north of its current home in Kirkwood Hall. IU professor invited to present Seeger Lecture at Society for Ethnomusicology's annual meeting

The Society for Ethnomusicology has invited Indiana University Professor Portia Maultsby to be the 2012 Charles Seeger Lecturer for its 57th Annual Meeting in New Orleans on Nov. 1 to 4. One of the highest honors in ethnomusicology, the award is named for the father of legendary folk singer-songwriter Pete Seeger.   Full Story >>
