New book addresses 'the end of the Holocaust' in public consciousness

Each year brings the appearance of new books, films, museums, commemorations and educational campaigns devoted to the Holocaust. But the result, Indiana University scholar Alvin H. IU Distinguished Professor Emerita Susan Gubar admitted to American Philosophical Society

Indiana University Ruth Halls and Distinguished Professor Emerita Susan Gubar has been admitted to the prestigious American Philosophical Society, the oldest learned society in the country. Gubar, a faculty member in the Department of English within the College of Arts and Sciences, is the 21st IU faculty member or alumnus admitted to the society in the university's history.   Full Story >>

National Humanities Center names three IU scholars as 2011-12 fellows

Three faculty members in the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University have been selected as fellows at the National Humanities Center for the 2011-12 academic year. They are among 32 leading scholars from 21 colleges and universities who were chosen to spend the year working on research projects at the center in Research Triangle Park, N.C. Aside from Duke University and the University of North Carolina, IU is the only university with more than one fellow.   Full Story >>
