Alumni Association

Online ballots are now available for the 2008 Indiana University Board of Trustees Election. This is the first year that alumni may cast a vote online. Alumni also still may vote as they have in the past with mail-in paper ballots that they will receive in the U.S. mail. Those ballots will be mailed to current graduates of IU in mid-May and to new graduates in early June.

Two Indiana University students will receive the Charles and Jo Ann Linsmith Scholarship from the IU Alumni Association during Cream and Crimson Weekend June 13-15. Christina Duff, of Prospect, Ky., and Julienne K. Turner, of Goshen, Ind., will each receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Stephen C. Moberly of Bloomington, Ind., will take office as chairman of the Indiana University Alumni Association on July 1. Joining Moberly as the 2008-09 officers of the IUAA are chairwoman-elect Donna Berry Spears of Richmond, Ind.; vice chairman Michael Barlow of Chicago; secretary Brian P. Williams of Evansville, Ind.; and treasurer Frank D. Otte of Indianapolis.

Indiana University's class of 2008 is invited to the annual Senior Salute from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, (April 24), in the tent behind the DeVault Alumni Center at 1000 E. 17th St., across from Assembly Hall.

A total of 16,049 graduates will be eligible for degrees from Indiana University during May commencement ceremonies at eight campuses. IU commencement week begins in Bloomington on May 3 (Saturday) and concludes at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne on May 14 (Wednesday).
