IU Latin American Music Center announces results of second recording competition

The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music's Latin American Music Center (LAMC) announces that pianist Daniel Inamorato has won the second Latin American Music Recording Competition, held Jan. 29, with the final round in Auer Hall. Inamorato is a performer diploma student studying piano with Professor Arnaldo Cohen. He will record a professional CD fully produced by the LAMC and will perform a full concert at the winner's recital next March 8 at 8 p.m. in Auer Hall.   Full Story >>

IU Distinguished Professor of Piano Menahem Pressler wins national achievement award

Menahem Pressler, distinguished professor of piano at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, was recently selected to receive the 2012 Music Teachers National Association Achievement Award. Jacobs School faculty and guest to perform complete Beethoven works for cello and piano

Indiana University Jacobs School of Music visiting assistant professor and collaborative pianist Liang-yu Wang will join Belgian guest cellist Thomas Landschoot in two concerts to present Beethoven's complete works for cello and piano, including five sonatas and three variations.
