Crean named 28th men's basketball coach at Indiana

Tom Crean, who averaged over 20 wins a season in nine years at Marquette and led the Golden Eagles to five NCAA Tournament appearances including the 2003 Final Four, has been named the 28th head basketball coach in Indiana University history, IU President Michael McRobbie and Director of Athletics Rick Greenspan announced on Wednesday.   Full Story >>

While the IU Circle of Life Mini Marathon and 5K races at Indiana University Bloomington have been moved from September to April, they will feature a familar face from the fall collegiate sports scene. Thompson honored at Football Foundation Awards

Former Indiana running back Anthony Thompson was honored at the National Football Foundation's 50th Annual Awards Dinner in New York City last night (Dec. 4) for his election to the College Football Hall of Fame. The two-time All-American was one of 12 players and two coaches to be inducted in the 2007 class. He is the sixth Hoosier to be awarded this honor.   Full Story >>
