Indiana University will bid farewell to IU Bloomington Provost and Executive Vice President Karen Hanson on Jan. 12 with a program and reception at the IU Auditorium. The event, which is open to the public, will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the IU Auditorium.

Indiana University Bloomington today (July 7) announced the selection of faculty members with distinugished leadership ability to participate in the Academic Leadership Program during the 2011-12 academic year. The program is sponsored by the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC), a consortium of the Big Ten member universities plus the University of Chicago.

Two major multidisciplinary projects -- "The In/Visibility of America's 21st Century Wars" seminar and lecture series, and "New Latin@ Film Festival and Conference" -- have been funded with seed money from the Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty and Academic Affairs' Multidisciplinary Ventures and Seminars Fund.
