Indiana University is reducing the requirements for all but a handful of its degree programs to 120 hours for baccalaureate degrees and 60 hours for associate degrees. The action comes in response to a law enacted last year by the Indiana General Assembly.

Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie has announced the naming of the Indiana University South Bend School of Business and Economics in honor of former South Bend businessman, banker, civic leader and philanthropist Judd Leighton. The school will be known as the Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics in recognition of the largest single donor gift in the history of IU South Bend.

Indiana University has announced that Michael Harris has resigned as chancellor of the Kokomo campus, effective immediately. Harris has been chancellor at IU Kokomo since July 1, 2010.
