SoFA students showcase final projects, 'Overseas Study' exhibitions

Indiana University's School of Fine Arts (SoFA) Gallery will host "The School of Fine Arts Abroad: Overseas Study Exhibition," opening Dec. 1 (Tuesday), and a simultaneous Bachelor of Fine Arts Painting show. A separate Bachelor of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition will be Dec. 8-12 (Tuesday-Saturday).   Full Story >>

IU, Penn, MIT researchers seek creativity with new tech, old crafts

A presentation on Saturday (Oct. 24) will examine how combining traditional arts and crafts such as embroidery with new technologies can spark creativity and learning for students. Leah Buechley, the "High-Low Tech Group" director at the Media Lab of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will give a free program called "How will Technological Artifacts Impact Society?" from 10-11 a.m. in room 102 of the School of Fine Arts, 1201 E. 'Green conscious' art at IU: SoFA Gallery to present exhibit on climate change

Activist art comes to Indiana University Bloomington in September when the School of Fine Arts (SoFA) Gallery presents "The Canary Project: Works on Climate Change 2006-2009," a new exhibit that opens Friday, Sept. 4, and runs through Friday, Oct. 9.
