Jacobs School faculty and guest to perform complete Beethoven works for cello and piano

Indiana University Jacobs School of Music visiting assistant professor and collaborative pianist Liang-yu Wang will join Belgian guest cellist Thomas Landschoot in two concerts to present Beethoven's complete works for cello and piano, including five sonatas and three variations. President of Curtis, violist Roberto Diaz, to perform at Jacobs School

President and CEO of the Curtis Institute, violist Roberto Díaz, and collaborative pianist Kwan Yi will perform a guest recital at the IU Jacobs School of Music Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 8 p.m. in Auer Hall. Midori to give master class at the Jacobs School of Music Oct. 10

Acclaimed violinist Midori will visit the IU Jacobs School of Music to offer a master class on Monday, Oct. 10, at 7:00 p.m. in Auer Hall. Four Jacobs School violinists--two graduates and two undergraduates--will participate in the class. The event is free and open to the public.   Full Story >>

Laredo and Robinson celebrate 35 years in concert this Sunday

Marking their 35th anniversary as both life- and artistic-partners, Jacobs School faculty members Jaime Laredo, violin, and Sharon Robinson, cello, will perform a free concert in Auer Hall Sunday, Oct. 9, with students from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Part of the Jacobs School's "Sundays in Auer" chamber series, the program includes Vivaldi's Concerto for Four Violins and Strings in B Minor, Fauré's Elegie for eight cellos, Schulhoff's Duo for Violin and Cello and the Brahms Sextet in B-Flat Major.   Full Story >>
