Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education
Indiana University will bid farewell to IU Bloomington Provost and Executive Vice President Karen Hanson on Jan. 12 with a program and reception at the IU Auditorium. The event, which is open to the public, will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the IU Auditorium.

A record number of law schools will again take part in the Indiana University Bloomington Law Day, an opportunity for students to meet recruiters and learn first-hand about admission procedures and requirements. The 2011 event, Oct. 25 at the Indiana Memorial Union, includes a Law Fair with representatives of 121 law schools and a panel discussion with law admissions deans.

The Corporation for National and Community Service has honored Indiana University Bloomington as a leader among institutions of higher education for its support of volunteering, service-learning, and civic engagement. IU Bloomington was admitted to the 2010 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for engaging its students, faculty and staff in meaningful service that achieves measurable results.

Indiana University Bloomington Provost and Executive Vice President Karen Hanson today announced the creation of three new Cox Scholarships, further extending a remarkable legacy of generosity from the late Jesse Cox and his wife, Beulah Chanley Cox. The new programs -- called Cox Engagement Scholars, Cox Exploratory Scholars and Cox Access Scholars -- are designed for first-year or returning students at IU Bloomington.
