Indiana University Bloomington has received an initial supply of 980 doses of the H1N1 flu vaccine from the Indiana State Department of Health, enough for students and employees who reserved vaccines for Day 1 (Monday, Nov. 16) of Week 1 in IU's online reservation system.

Declaring Indiana University Bloomington Health Center's online reservation system for H1N1 vaccines a success after all initial openings were filled as of early today (Nov. 11), IU Health Center officials said they have already added thousands of new reservation openings.

More than one-third of the 5,760 available reservation slots for IU employees and students eligible to receive the H1N1 vaccine had been taken after the online system had been up and running for just over five hours on Friday (Nov. 6).

A unique Web site for IU Bloomington students and employees to reserve a free H1N1 flu shot will be up and running Friday (Nov. 6). IU has yet to receive any H1N1 vaccine but those making reservations will be the first to receive it.
