Jack I. Hamlin (BS '43) and wife Dora. The Hamlins met as students at IU, where Hamlin was first chair cornet in the Hundred and captain of his ROTC band unit.

Founded by the British Parliament in 1953 to commemorate the Marshall Plan, in which the United States helped the countries of Western Europe rebuild after the destruction of World War II, the scholarships pay for graduate study at any university in the United Kingdom.
