She is tall, muscular, profoundly accomplished for her age, speaks with the coolest accent this side of Sean Connery, and is in possession of Jeffersonian intelligence. She possesses the devastating combination of an ideal physiology for her sport, breathtaking athleticism, and a competitive arrogance that comes around once in a generation for a program. She is on pace to demolish almost all of the school's significant offensive records. Her name is Ashley Benson. She plays volleyball. And with due respect for all of the other fall sport athletes, she is, without question, the best show in town.

Kirlew named to 2009 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team

Indiana defensive end Jammie Kirlew earned a spot on the 2009 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, honoring dedicated and hard-working student-athletes for their off-the-field achievements and selfless contributions to their communities. Allstate Insurance Company and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) announced the 22 student-athletes chosen for the prestigious honor on Sept. 22.
