Get in the holiday spirit with the 'Chimes of Christmas'
One of the surest signs that Christmas is on the way in Bloomington is "Chimes of Christmas," an Indiana University holiday tradition presented by the Jacobs School of Music annually at IU Auditorium. This event is one of the most popular of Bloomington's holiday celebrations and showcases a wide variety of traditional Christmas songs and spirituals. "Chimes" will feature all 125 members of the Grammy-nominated Singing Hoosiers, conducted by Michael Schwartzkopf. The program also will feature the IU Vocal Jazz Ensemble, conducted by Christopher Ludwa; the IU Wind Ensemble, conducted by Stephen W. Pratt; and the IU Trombone Choir, conducted by Carl Lenthe.
