Two experts on health care marketing in IU's Kelley School of Business consider direct-to-consumer advertising more honest than most other forms of consumer advertising and the most forthcoming type of pharmaceutical promotion. Anthony Cox and Dena Cox say charges against DTC pharmaceutical ads are overblown. They believe the public should be more concerned about physician-targeted marketing -- such as medical journal advertising, sales calls and distribution of drug samples.

Kathleen Gilbert, a grief and relationships expert in IU's School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation, offers survival tips for people who are single or widowed. Her advice, such as keeping the faith, finding out what makes one happy and obtaining a more realistic definition of love, can prove useful year-round.

Researchers at The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction did something fairly novel -- they sat down with groups of men and talked with them about their sexual experiences. They learned that men report a variety of different experiences involving sexual desire and arousal.
