New arrangements to assist media covering return of IU students

EDITORS: The residence halls at Indiana University Bloomington will open for the 2002-03 academic year on Wednesday (Aug. 28) as part of the annual influx of students to the campus and community.

New arrangements have been made to assist media covering the students as they move into IU residence halls. Between 9 and 11 a.m., you are invited to visit two floors in Read Residence Hall as students move in and to tour these floors with resident assistants. Professional staff also will be available for interviews.

Read Residence Hall is located on Jordan Avenue, just north of East Third Street and across from the Musical Arts Center. We suggest that you park in the adjacent parking garage, which is accessible from Jordan Avenue. A representative of IU Residential Programs and Services (RPS) will be stationed near an adjacent loading dock on the north entrance to Read Residence Hall to assist you.

To make arrangements or for more information, contact RPS representative Pamela Sprong at 812-855-1764 (office), 812-325-4423 (cell) or sprongp@indiana.edu.
