Football pounds Akron. Ben Chappell threw two touchdown passes and Ray Fisher returned the opening kickoff 91 yards for a score in Indiana's 38-21 victory against Akron on Saturday. The Hoosiers had four second-half interceptions, two by Austin Thomas, and scored 14 points off their quartet of takeaways. More.

Field hockey trips Ball State. With the game knotted 1-1, sophomore Corey Brautigam scored the game-winner with three minutes to play to give the No. 17 Indiana field hockey team a 2-1 win over Ball State in the No. 17-ranked Hoosiers' home-opener. Freshman Brooke Borneman scored the Hoosiers' (5-2) first goal in the first half. More.

Men's tennis dominates Hoosier Invitational. Junior Santiago Gruter and freshman Josh MacTaggart claimed titles at the Hoosier Invitational. Gruter won a three set battle with Bobby Deye of Xavier, and MacTaggart defeated fellow Hoosier freshman Isade Juneau. More.

Men's and women's cross country rolls at Intercollegiate. The IU cross country program had an excellent day at Indiana Intercollegiate on Friday. Not only did the Hoosiers take team titles on the men's and women's sides, but they did it convincingly. More.

Women's soccer perfect at home. The No. 22-ranked Indiana women's soccer team upped its record to 8-1 on the season with a 2-0 win over Green Bay at Bill Armstrong Stadium on Friday night thanks to a pair of goals by freshman Orianica Velasquez Herrera. The Hoosiers also improved to 6-0 at home this season with the win, the most wins at home since 2007. More.

Volleyball ends weekend with a sweep. The Indiana University volleyball team completed their non-conference schedule with an 11-3 record after defeating North Carolina A&T Saturday night inside University Gym by lopsided scores of 25-10, 25-17 and 25-18. Indiana's Caitlin Cox and Ashley Benson were named to the All-T.I.S. Bookstore Invitational team for their stellar efforts over the weekend. More.
