The event gets underway with Indiana University and Purdue University both presenting technologies developed through university research that have high commercialization potential through both existing and new start-up businesses. The technologies being discussed are patented and are now ready to be licensed.

The luncheon portion of the day will feature a panel of speakers from Indiana University's Business Outlook Panel that includes Indiana Business Research Center (IBRC) director Jerry Conover. The panel will cover national, state and local business and economic forecasts for 2010 and Conover will moderate the panel during questions from conference participants.

David Sobotka, IU's director of engagement in Evansville and southwest Indiana who also serves as Purdue's Technical Assistance Program account manager in Evansville and Jasper, said a third component of the event would focus on entrepreneurial coaching sessions for conference participants. The sessions will be conducted in a one-on-one setting.
