Madison has worked at IU Bloomington for more than three decades and is also the director of IU's award-winning Mini University. She has programmed Lifelong Learning courses for 30 semesters, and she has directed Mini University for 15 years in partnership with the IU Alumni Association.

"Anya and Jeanne have had an enormous impact on continuing education on our campus," said Provost and Executive Vice President Karen Hanson. "Anya has made distinguished contributions to teaching in so many contexts; it is wonderful to see her work in continuing education recognized in this way. Jeanne's innovative program leadership has produced programs that are models for the nation. Her work has brought great benefits to the university and to nontraditional students.
