FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 20, 2006

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Six undergraduate students at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business have been awarded the Glaubinger Entrepreneurship Scholarship for the 2006-07 academic year.

The four recipients from Indiana receive $5,000 and two non-resident winners will receive $10,000.

Glaubinger received a bachelor's degree in accounting from IU in 1949 and enjoyed a successful career in the textile industry. In 2001, he funded the scholarships for junior and senior entrepreneurship majors in the Kelley School. They are awarded annually by the school's Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to students who are U.S. citizens.

This year's recipients are:

  • John Evons of Niles, Mich.
  • Peter Hart of Kenilworth, Ill.
  • Matt Katz of Indianapolis
  • Elizabeth Shapiro of Anderson, Ind.
  • Justin Straub of Martinsville, Ind.
  • David Weisburd of Westfield, Ind.

Application forms for next year's Glaubinger Scholars are available online at https://www.kelley.indiana.edu/jcei/student/resources/undergrad_scholarships.html.
