Our robots are morons! Thank god for Indiana University, where ongoing research aims to usher in a new generation of smarter ones. Researchers there study new approaches to learning whereby robots can make decisions in humanlike ways. Olaf Sporns, a neuroscientist at the university, studies the bots to understand the flow of information between sensory events and motor events.
