MEDIA ADVISORY: Celebratory reception for Anthony Thompson

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- On Thursday, Nov. 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Indiana University President Michael McRobbie will host a reception celebrating Anthony Thompson's induction into the College Football Hall of Fame. The reception, held in the Great Room of the Bloomington Convention Center, will feature a video of Thompson's highlights with speeches from Thompson and former IU Football Head Coach Bill Mallory. President McRobbie will serve as the emcee. The event is open to the public and McRobbie encourages everyone to come help him congratulate Thompson on his outstanding achievement.

Anthony Thompson Accolades

Anthony Thompson set many University and NCAA rushing records between1986 and 1989, and is the fifth Indiana University football player inducted to the Hall of Fame. Here are some additional Thompson facts:
