BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Send IU football seniors out in style on Senior Day, Saturday (Nov. 17), by attending The Walk, scheduled for 1:15 p.m., before IU takes on the Purdue Boilermakers for a classic Old Oaken Bucket game in Memorial Stadium. The Walk, introduced by the late IU coach Terry Hoeppner, gives IU fans a chance to cheer the team as it arrives on the athletic department grounds to walk en masse toward Memorial Stadium lockerrooms to suit up for the 3:30 p.m. kickoff.

The Hoosiers will recognize team seniors at 3 p.m. during pre-game ceremonies.

They'll also wear special throw-back uniforms for the game in honor of the 40-year reunion of the 1967 IU Rose Bowl team. While the uniforms closely resemble the ones normally worn, there are two stripes on the helmets and pants instead of one. Also, the helmet features the block "I" rather than the current block IU. Over 50 players and all living coaches will be in attendance for the game.

Indiana, now 6-5, needs one more win to clinch a post-season invitation to a bowl game. The Boilermakers come into the game at 7-4. This is the first time since the 1994 season the Hoosiers and Boilermakers will meet with both teams sitting over the .500 mark, and the first time the two teams are both bowl eligible in the same season since 1980.

The game will be televised by the Big Ten Network and can be heard statewide on the IU Radio Network.
