IU Diversity Committees to meet in June

May 27, 2009

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University diversity committees are scheduled to meet on two campuses on June 4.

The IU East Commission on Diversity and Equity will convene at 2 p.m. in the Community Room in Whitewater Hall on the Richmond campus.

The Diversity Management Committee at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis will convene at 3 p.m. in Room 103 of the Administration (AO) Building on the Indianapolis campus.

The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
