BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Community corrections in the state of Indiana is at a critical point as it struggles with the tension between the increasing need for accountability and limited resources. The Evidence-Based Research Institute serves as a venue for the professionals within Indiana Department of Correction and leaders in the state of Indiana to come together with a common aim of promoting the best practices within community corrections.

By providing opportunities to learn about the most current trends in evidence based practices, current research in the primary areas of community corrections, and to review the outcomes of the ongoing collaboration between IDOC and the Center for Evidence-Based Practices (CEBP), this conference will help prepare professionals to improve practices, outcomes, and accountability in community corrections.

CEBP is a clearinghouse that offers user-friendly information about national standards and state of the art programs in community corrections. It is designed to assist community corrections officials in Indiana with selecting, implementing and evaluation research-based interventions.
