BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Pierre Garcon, wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts, will host a benefit for Haiti at Indiana University Bloomington's Alumni Hall in the Indiana Memorial Union, 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday (March 28).

Tickets are $10 at the door, and all proceeds will go to the Northwest Haiti Christian Mission in collaboration with United for Haiti (https://www.unitedforhaiti.net/). There also will be opportunities for a meet-and-greet session and a question-and-answer session.

Garcon, who is of Haitian descent, will speak about his efforts to raise money for Haiti, which have helped to provide food and disaster relief for hundreds of Haitians who remain devastated by the aftermath of the 7.0 earthquake in January. He plans to travel to Haiti, April 5-9.

Recently, Pierre was invited to the White House to meet with U.S. President Barack Obama and President of the Republic of Haiti René Préval.

The program is organized by Union Board.
