IU Diversity Committees to meet in September

Sept. 8, 2010

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University Diversity Committees are scheduled to meet on two campuses in September.

The IU Kokomo Campus Diversity Committee will meet Thursday (Sept. 9) at 1:30 p.m. in the Bogle Room (KO 130) of the Main Building on the Kokomo campus.

At IU Southeast, the Campus Diversity Committee will meet at 10 a.m., Sept. 22, in Room 154 of University Center South on the New Albany campus.

The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
