Indiana CTSI to host Bloomington retreat

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute will host the inaugural Indiana CTSI Retreat at Indiana University Bloomington from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, in Alumni Hall at the Indiana Memorial Union, 900 E. Seventh St..

Participants in "Indiana CTSI 101" will hear presentations explaining how the Indiana CTSI is connecting Indiana University, Purdue University and the University of Notre Dame, as well as public and private partnerships, to accelerate the rate of health care innovation in Indiana and beyond.

Speakers will include Karen Hanson, provost and executive vice president, IU Bloomington; Sarita Soni, vice provost for research, IU Bloomington; Jorge José, vice president for research, IU; and Anantha Shekhar, director of the Indiana CTSI. A series of breakout sessions also are scheduled from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m.
