IU experts to discuss race and gender in presidential campaign

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University experts will share their insights about the treatment of race and gender in the 2008 Democratic presidential campaign in a panel discussion Monday, Feb. 4, at the IU School of Law--Bloomington.

The discussion, "A Step Forward or a Step Back? Race, Gender, and the Media in the Democratic Primaries," will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in room 124 of the Law School, 211 S. Indiana Ave.

The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the IU Bloomington chapter of the American Constitution Society, a progressive organization of students, lawyers and scholars that supports principles of human dignity, individual liberties, equality and access to justice.
