Diversity committees to meet at IU Kokomo and IUPUI

Sept. 26, 2008

Two Indiana University Diversity Committees are scheduled to meet in coming days.

The IU Kokomo committee will meet Thursday (Oct. 2) at 9 a.m. in the Bogle Room (KO130) of the Main Building on the Kokomo campus. The Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis committee will meet Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. in University Library Room 2115G on the Indianapolis campus.

The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
