Just before its official opening, the Midwest Proton Radiotherapy Institute will host free tours of the unique facility on Saturday (May 17). The open house, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will provide an opportunity for the public to see the inner workings of the region's only proton radiotherapy clinic.

MPRI is located on the Indiana University Bloomington campus. It shares space with the IU Cyclotron Facility at 2401 N. Milo B. Sampson Lane, just north of the state Route 45/46 bypass. Directions to the site and a map can be found at https://www.mpri.org/MPRI/info.shtml.

MPRI is a joint venture of the IU-affiliated Advanced Research and Technology Institute and Clarian Health Partners of Indianapolis. Institute staff will begin treating patients this summer. Representatives of Jill's House, a temporary home for patients and their families, will be on hand at the open house to accept donations.
