  • Expert in educational economic issues, such as personnel practices, and studies the valuing of human life.
  • Served as a consultant to the U.S. Attorney's Office and the U.S. Department of Justice.
  • Editor of the Journal of Economic Education and a member of the editorial board of the Economics of Education Review.
  • Recent research includes effects of assessment and evaluation in secondary education.
