M. Jeanne Peterson specializes in the Victorian period of English history, especially the topics of women, family, the middle classes and medicine. She is the author of two books, "Family, Love and Work in the Lives of Victorian Gentlewomen" and "The Medical Profession in Mid-Victorian London." Peterson is the recipient of Guggenheim and National Endowment for the Humanities fellowships and is adjunct Professor of Philanthropic Studies, IUPUI.
