Lawrence S. Davidson

Background:

Larry Davidson, also former director of the Global Business Information Network in IU's Kelley School of Business, teaches and researches macroeconomics and monetary policy. He has been a visiting scholar at the St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank. He has a particularly interest in exporting activities.

He served as resident director for the Business School's Study Abroad Program in Maastricht, Netherlands, where he taught the course, "Stabilization Policies of Newly Emerging Nations." In 1997, he taught an international macroeconomics course at the University of Helsinki. He has been both a teacher and course coordinator of the monetary economics course taught to bankers at the American Banker's Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Each year, Davidson joins other business economists in writing and delivering the school's national and state economic forecast.

He is an expert on the economic impact of sports and entertainment, exchange rates and international trade. He prepares regular trade research reports, including a quarterly review of state exporting activity for the Indiana Department of Commerce.
