David C. Woodley

Education:

• M.A. at University of Iowa, 1985
• B.M. at University of Iowa, 1983

Background:

Director of the Marching Hundred and the Big Red Basketball Band, David Woodley also conducts the Concert Band and teaches arranging and marching band techniques.

He has received commissions from more than 100 university and high school bands; and has created more than 400 marching and basketball band arrangements.

He is an adjudicator and clinician throughout the Midwest. Many of his arrangements have been performed by competition-style bands that compete at the regional and national level. In addition to athletic band arrangements, several of his concert band and small group works are published by TRN Music Publisher. Mr. Woodley is also chairman of the Athletic Band Advisory Committee of the College Band Directors National Association.
