Background:

Baritone Dale Moore is a professor emeritus of the Eastman School of Music, and was a professor at University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and Oberlin College Conservatory. He received an honorary doctorate from Lincoln Memorial University and a B.M and M.M. from University of Kansas.

Professor Moore was granted a Fulbright Scholar Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria; was first place winner at the National Federation of Music Clubs Young Artist Auditions; and has performed at the White House.

He made his Town Hall recital debut in 1960. Professor Moore has recorded for Cambridge Records, and was honored with "recording of Special Merit" by Stereo Review in 1973.

He has performed as a soloist with BBC-WNET and the Cleveland and Minnesota orchestras under George Szell and Robert Shaw. He is past president of NATS; honorary chair of The Second International Congress of Voice Teachers; and has made presentations and taught master classes throughout the United States and abroad.

His former students are performing in major apprenticeship programs and at The Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the San Francisco Opera. Over 80 of his former students hold teaching positions in universities in the United States and abroad.
